UGREEN Unveils Game-Changing “Ultra” NAS Systems to Elevate Your Homelab Experience

UGREEN is focused on ensuring that your home studio’s network-attached storage is always up to the demands of your workflow, even when handling multiple tasks simultaneously. At IFA 2026, the company introduced two new NAS devices: the NASync DXP6800 and the DX8800 Ultra, designed to cater to everyone from independent creators to rapidly expanding businesses.

The DXP6800 Ultra features six bays, offering a massive storage capacity of up to 208TB. It is powered by a Core 5 120U processor that enables fast file access for multiple users, efficient backups, and the operation of local applications. Additionally, it includes dual Thunderbolt 4 and dual 10Gbps Ethernet ports for quick connectivity, allowing a direct link to your computer.

The DXP8800 Ultra takes it up a notch with eight bays, supporting a total of 272TB of storage. This model is equipped with a more powerful Core 7 150U chip, which is well-suited for demanding applications like Docker and virtual machines (VMs).

Regardless of the model you choose, you can enhance its functionality with an external device, such as UGREEN’s LinkStation eGPU Dock, which directs GPU resources to Docker containers and virtual machines. An optional uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can also ensure that data remains accessible during power failures.

Performance with a Premium Price Tag

The NASync DXP6800 Ultra and DXP8800 Ultra are currently available, priced at $1,450 and $1,780, respectively. Both models are sold without hard drives.

These are among UGREEN’s priciest NAS options, though they offer considerable value. Most of the company’s other offerings have four bays or fewer and typically utilize slower processors, such as the Core i3. While this is adequate for many basic tasks, it may fall short for more intensive needs, such as heavy video editing, especially if you expect to continue working while backups are running.

The new Ultra models are designed to keep systems running efficiently under various workloads. Although they come with a higher price point, they are worthwhile investments for anyone anticipating an increase in NAS usage, particularly small businesses that require a scalable solution.
