Summary
- YouTube is set to introduce its AI-driven search tool to a new platform.
- Users can now access “Ask YouTube” via the mobile application.
- The feature will also be available directly on the watch page during Shorts and live streams.
In April, YouTube started testing a new conversational search feature called “Ask YouTube.” This AI-driven capability was later confirmed during the Google I/O event. Initially available on web and TV platforms, it is now making its debut on mobile devices.
YouTube announced in a recent blog entry that the conversational search tool can now be utilized on mobile devices, specifically for users located in the United States. However, it is important to note that this feature is currently not accessible for supervised accounts designed for kids. The tool will also not be found in the YouTube Kids application, although the company hasn’t dismissed the idea of introducing it in the future.
