Summary:

  • Some users of Pixel smartphones are reporting issues with app functionality.
  • Music applications are skipping tracks, while others are crashing unexpectedly.
  • Some users claim that all their apps are failing, whereas others have noted that the issue is specific to certain applications such as Google Photos, Spotify, and CapCut.

Recent developments suggest that Google Photos may soon unveil an enhanced reaction feature for shared images. Unfortunately, if you’re using a Pixel device, accessing this new feature could be challenging due to ongoing app issues that some users are facing.

A Reddit thread has emerged where Pixel users are discussing these problems. Many have expressed frustrations with music applications skipping tracks and other apps crashing without warning. Some claim that their entire app ecosystem is malfunctioning, while others note that the problems are limited to specific apps like Google Photos, Spotify, and CapCut.

One user mentioned that after joining the System Services beta, their device has not experienced any crashes since the update.

The extent of the issue remains uncertain. Some users indicate that the bugs are primarily affecting Pixel 11 models, but there is at least one report from a Pixel 9 owner experiencing similar problems.

In order to clarify the situation, Android Authority has reached out to Google for comment. Updates will be provided if a response is received. Meanwhile, users are encouraged to share if they are also encountering these issues.
