Larry Ellison Calls Off $7.5 Billion Oracle Stock Transaction

Larry Ellison, the co-founder and executive chairman of Oracle, has opted to cancel his anticipated sale of Oracle shares, as announced by the company on Saturday.
Earlier, Oracle had informed investors through a regulatory filing that Ellison intended to divest 50 million shares, valued at approximately $7.5 billion. However, no explanation was provided for this reversal in his plans.
“No Oracle stock was sold under that plan, and he has no other plans to sell any of his Oracle stock,” the company confirmed.
Currently, Oracle’s stock has decreased by 22% since the start of the year. The company has been investing heavily in data centers and has recently established itself as a significant owner and security partner for TikTok’s operations in the United States.
In addition, Ellison has contributed his resources to support his son David in the acquisition of Warner Bros., a deal that is presently facing legal challenges.
