For fans of Call of Duty who are tired of the outrageous character skins, a solution is on the horizon, at least for one game mode. The upcoming Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4 will unveil a feature for Warzone that allows players to switch out any outlandish skins obtained from various elements within the CoD universe for standard Operator looks. This option will be turned off by default and will not alter the experience for others in the game. Additionally, even with the feature active, a player’s own chosen skin will remain visible, allowing players to stand out even amidst a sea of camouflage.
Over the years, this beloved first-person shooter has allowed players to adopt the appearance of characters ranging from Rambo to Beavis and Butt-Head, leading to some absurd match scenarios. Players might find it frustrating, for instance, to be eliminated by a bizarre character named Wubz, which only adds to the eccentricity. Those who seek a more serious atmosphere in Warzone, at least to the extent that Call of Duty can offer, will likely appreciate this new functionality.
