Adobe Unleashes 70+ Creative Tools from Photoshop, Illustrator, and Beyond into Slack

Get ready for extensive conversations with Slackbot.

Adobe has rolled out a new partnership with Slack, introducing over 70 tools from its well-known applications to the platform. This integration includes functionalities from Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, and Lightroom, enabling users to perform a wide range of tasks directly within Slack.

You might recognize that number since Adobe recently launched a ChatGPT plugin that provides access to “over 70 tools across Adobe’s creative and productivity suites.” The features available appear to be similar across both platforms.

The Adobe integration for Slack is accessible for Business+ and Enterprise+ users on all versions of Slack, including web, mobile, and desktop. This follows previous integrations with platforms like Canva and Figma, introduced when Slack enhanced its Model Context Protocol support for Slackbot in June. Notably, users don’t need an Adobe account to utilize its Slack features, though having one will unlock additional functionalities.

After setting up the Adobe application on Slack, users can communicate with Slackbot to outline their tasks, and the bot will apply the most suitable Adobe tools to fulfill those requests. Slackbot can utilize resources from Slack channels and Canvases, along with assets from Adobe Creative Cloud. These new features can help with tasks such as transforming spreadsheets into visuals, producing marketing or social media content using templates, and performing bulk edits on numerous images.
