6 Reasons I’m Holding Off on a Google TV Projector—and Why I Might Not Buy One at All
In recent years, the market for budget projectors has expanded significantly, with options available at prices ranging from $50 to over $500. I purchased an affordable model for about $100 that included HDMI connectivity and a Roku device. While it couldn’t compare to a full-fledged TV, it was perfect for outdoor movie nights and gave me a glimpse into the projector experience. This led me to believe that a higher-end projector could provide an even better viewing experience.
As our living room television shows signs of wear, I have begun searching for projectors again. Initially, I was drawn to models equipped with Google TV, as many of these recent devices have been well-received by critics and users. The built-in Google TV functionality means less hassle during setup and eliminates the need for additional gadgets. However, the more research I conducted, the more I leaned towards investing in a traditional projector in the $500-$1000 range instead.
