Rockstar Unveils Six New Radio Stations and Inaugural In-Game Podcasts for GTA 6

Rockstar Games has unveiled six radio stations that will be featured in Grand Theft Auto VI. In an announcement made on October 8, it was confirmed that this installment is the first in the franchise to introduce on-demand podcasts. Additionally, the company launched a dedicated music page where players can listen to two-minute previews of each radio station.
The developers assert that GTA 6 will boast the largest and most diverse selection of in-game radio channels to date. The six stations announced thus far are just a fraction of what players can expect, including options for classic rock and talk radio.
Details on GTA 6 Radio Stations, Hosts, and Music
Each of the revealed stations features two hosts, many of whom are notable artists:
- The modern Latin station is helmed by El Martillo (voiced by Bad Bunny) and La Gata (voiced by RaiNao), showcasing genres like bachata, merengue, dembow, and reggaeton, which includes Bad Bunny’s EoO.
- Back Country Radio presents renegade country music, featuring MW (voiced by Morgan Wallen) and Delta Dawne (voiced by Lana Del Rey), along with roving reporter Mud Dog Mike (voiced by Jeremy Dufrene). Artists such as Loretta Lynn and David Allan Coe make up the playlist.
- AfroBank FM is hosted by Burna (voiced by Burna Boy) and Palmsy (voiced by Palms Trax), offering African music that spans from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step.
- The classic metal station, Chamber 106.6, features DJ Kerry (voiced by Kerry King) and DJ Tom (voiced by Tom Araya), with tracks from Black Sabbath, Pantera, and Slayer.
- Flash FM makes its return as the Vice City pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex Consani, featuring artists like Charli XCX, MGMT, and Zara Larsson alongside PinkPantheress.
- Dirty South Classics focuses on regional rap and hip-hop with hosts Trick Daddy and Trina, including music from David Banner, JT Money, and DJ Khaled.
Expanded Radio and Podcast Experience in GTA 6
The integration of podcasts marks a significant change. Rockstar noted, “For the first time ever, Grand Theft Auto VI introduces a series of on-demand podcasts that Jason and Lucia can enjoy beyond Leonida’s terrestrial radio.” Both radio and podcasts can be enjoyed while driving or walking, utilizing new headphones and earbuds connected to the characters’ smartphones.
Previous GTA titles limited radio to vehicles and select buildings, but the new feature allows players to enjoy music or podcasts even while exploring or engaged in combat.
Accompanying the radio reveal, Rockstar released new official screenshots. Last month, the studio announced an additional album of original songs created for GTA 6, featuring artists such as Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, and Keith Richards, although the complete tracklist has yet to be disclosed. This radio announcement follows earlier statements that players will need to earn money to progress in story missions.
The previews for the six stations are currently accessible on the Rockstar Games website. Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no word yet on a complete station list before launch.
