Poll Results: Discover Our Readers’ Top Pick for the Best Galaxy S26 FE Alternative!

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, the newest model in the Fan Edition series, aims to provide customers with a flagship experience at a more affordable price. However, this year’s model has increased its price by $50 compared to its predecessor, the S25 FE, while not delivering substantial improvements. Consequently, it may not stand out as the premier mid-range smartphone for 2026.

Following a recommendation from my colleague Andrew Grush, we sought feedback from our reader community about viable alternatives to the S26 FE. To gauge opinions, we conducted a poll, the results of which are detailed below.

The poll attracted close to 5,000 votes, with results that might come as a surprise to some.

Andrew highlighted a few alternatives, including two Google Pixel models, a Samsung device, and a Nothing phone. However, the readers favored the Motorola Edge (2026) as the top alternative to the Galaxy S26 FE. This device secured 25.6% of the votes, slightly surpassing the Samsung Galaxy S26, which garnered 25.4%—a margin of only 22 votes.

The Edge excels in several areas, boasting rapid 68W charging, a compact design, and an array of appealing color options. Additionally, it is significantly more affordable than the $900 Galaxy S26.

This year, Motorola devices have performed well in polls. The Edge (2026) nearly defeated the Galaxy S26 in our best Google Pixel 11 alternative poll.

The pricing and features of the Motorola Edge make it an attractive choice, and we invite anyone who voted for this device to share the reasons for their preference in the comments.

Rounding out the top three was the Pixel 11, receiving 20.3% of the votes. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro followed in fourth place with 16.4%, while the Pixel 10a only managed 8.1%. Interestingly, despite being the more budget-friendly options, these devices did not garner much interest.

Only 3.8% of voters indicated their alternatives to the Galaxy S26 FE, with one comment particularly standing out:
