Hulu’s Top Series Bids Farewell Tonight—Here’s How You Can Tune In!

Prepare for a culinary journey as FX’s The Bear returns for its fifth and final season tonight on Hulu. All eight episodes will be available starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
This marks a bittersweet occasion for the show’s supporters, as it has been confirmed that this season will be the last installment of The Bear, as announced by FX last month.
Be aware that spoilers for the season 4 finale of The Bear follow.
The Bear’s Final Chapter Will Explore Carmy’s Heart-Wrenching Choice
Carmy Prepares to Bid Farewell
The storyline of The Bear centers around Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, portrayed by Jeremy Allen White. In the initial season, Carmy, a gifted chef from New York City, returns to Chicago to take over an Italian beef establishment owned by his late brother. As the narrative progressed, it evolved into a compelling ensemble drama where Carmy and his team aimed to elevate the humble shop into a fine-dining venue.
The season 4 finale culminated in Carmy’s shocking choice to leave the culinary world, entrusting the restaurant to Syd, Richie, and Sugar. Season 5 opens the day after this pivotal decision. The synopsis for the new season reveals:
“Faced with financial constraints, the possibility of a sale looming overhead, and a fierce storm approaching, the new partners must unite with their team for one last service in pursuit of a Michelin star. Ultimately, they discover that the essence of a restaurant’s ‘perfection’ lies not in the food alone, but in the people.”
Joining White in season 5 are Ayo Edebiri as Sydney “Syd” Adamu, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, Lionel Boyce as Marcus Brooks, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina Marrero, Abby Elliott as Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto, Matty Matheson as Neil Fak, and Edwin Lee Gibson as Ebraheim.
Created by Christopher Storer, who also acts as an executive producer, writer, and director, The Bear is produced by FX Productions and available for streaming on Hulu as well as Hulu on Disney+.
The series debuted in June 2022 to critical acclaim, winning 10 Emmys including Outstanding Comedy Series, with acting honors going to White, Moss-Bachrach, and Edebiri. Its second season raised the bar even higher with 11 Emmy wins. Unlike many of its peers that may space out their seasons over several years, The Bear has consistently released new episodes each June since its launch.
In May, The Bear introduced a special flashback episode spotlighting Moss-Bachrach as Richie and Jon Bernthal as Carmy’s older brother, Mikey. Named Gary, the episode chronicles a significant work trip to Gary, Indiana. This bonus content is now available for streaming on Hulu.
