Google and Pokémon Collaborate on Exclusive Fitbit Air Release

Summary:
- Google introduces a special edition Fitbit Air in partnership with Pokémon Sleep.
- The band, featuring a screenless design, comes in a Sleepy Blue hue adorned with a print of a dozing Pikachu.
- Pre-orders are live today at Google Store and Target, both online and in-store.
The recent launch of the Google Fitbit Air initially offered two models: a standard version and a special edition associated with Stephen Curry. Google is expanding its offerings with a third model, the exciting Fitbit Air Special Edition tied to Pokémon Sleep.
For those unfamiliar, Pokémon Sleep is an engaging sleep-tracking app rewarding users for achieving longer sleep durations. The newest Fitbit Air edition takes inspiration from this app, showcasing a strap in what is referred to as Sleepy Blue, complete with a silk print label that features a sleeping Pikachu alongside the Pokémon Sleep insignia.
Similar to the Stephen Curry version, this special Pokémon Sleep edition retains all features of the standard model. It is equipped to assist with fitness, recovery, and sleep tracking, as well as being compatible with the Google Health app and Health Coach. Notably, this fitness bracelet also integrates seamlessly with the Pokémon Sleep app.
To connect the Fitbit tracker with the Pokémon Sleep app, users should link their Google Health app to Health Connect or Apple Health within the settings. Afterward, they must pair the Pokémon Sleep app with their device to sync sleep data, allowing the app to access sleep statistics recorded on the user’s device.
Pre-orders for the Fitbit Air Special Edition are available starting today, with expected delivery starting September 15. Customers can purchase it online and at physical locations of the Google Store and Target. The price stands at $129.99, matching the cost of the Stephen Curry special edition.
