Claim Your Share of Apple’s $250 Million Siri Settlement: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you bought an iPhone recently, you may qualify for compensation.
Apple customers in the United States who purchased specific iPhone models have the opportunity to file claims for compensation due to the delays in the release of Apple Intelligence features, which were initially announced in June 2024. Eligible customers could receive payments ranging from $25 to $95 per device. Claims must be submitted by December 21, 2026.
The company faced a class action lawsuit after it was alleged that buyers of iPhones between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, believed they would receive Apple Intelligence sooner than was eventually delivered. While Apple did not admit fault, it has agreed to a settlement of $250 million to address the delays that postponed the features until fall 2025.
Claimants can expect to receive around $25 for each qualifying device, but the actual amount may vary based on the total number of successful claims. If fewer claims are filed, the payout could reach up to $95 per device.
It’s important to note that the $250 million settlement will cover various deductions, including legal fees and taxes.
Details of the Settlement
The settlement applies exclusively to devices purchased within the U.S., excluding customers from countries like the UK, Canada, and France.
To qualify, claimants must prove that they bought their iPhone between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, intended for personal or business use, and are the original purchaser.
Eligible models include:
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16

Background on the Apple settlement
The history of this issue reveals that Apple’s AI division failed to meet its promised timeline at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2024 for introducing Apple Intelligence.
The rollout was initially pushed to 2025 and experienced further delays before a select number of features were launched in the fall of 2025. Ultimately, the complete suite of features was not realized until the arrival of iOS 27 in fall 2026.
During this period, John Giannandrea, who was leading Apple’s AI initiatives, began stepping away from the company, which subsequently partnered with Google to utilize Google Gemini for its AI developments. The features now available were partly what customers were promised back in 2024, which led to the class action lawsuit.
Customers made purchases under the impression that they would receive the Apple Intelligence features as announced during WWDC 2024. The $250 million settlement serves as compensation for the unmet expectations, although Apple has not formally admitted to wrongdoing.
