ASUS Launches Its Inaugural Gaming Soundbar in the US Priced at $600

ASUS ROG introduces the Gjallar soundbar tailored for multiplayer gaming experiences.

The ASUS ROG Gjallar soundbar, unveiled in early July, is now available for purchase in the US at a price of $600. This marks ASUS’s entry into the gaming soundbar market, designed specifically for multiplayer gaming. Its audio control hub is equipped with integrated microphones, allowing for enhanced communication by filtering team member voices and in-game sounds while reducing background noise. This feature enables clear voice communication without the need for headsets.

The Gjallar, named after the legendary horn from Norse mythology, boasts a 5.1.2-channel speaker setup that delivers immersive three-dimensional Dolby Atmos audio. The device includes a wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer with a dedicated 5GHz connection to minimize latency. The comprehensive audio control hub not only features built-in microphones but also an LCD display for managing volume, playback, input selections, and EQ settings.

For seamless device switching, the Gjallar soundbar supports various connectivity options, including USB-C, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, optical input, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.3. It is compatible with gaming PCs, Macs, mobile devices, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and TVs. Additionally, the soundbar has two USB Type-A ports for connecting wireless dongles and other accessories. Currently listed on major retail sites, the availability may vary; however, interested users can opt for a notification when it becomes available on the ASUS website.
