Trouble for the iPhone Duo: Users Frustrated by Ongoing Cracking Issues

The debut of Apple’s much-anticipated foldable device, the iPhone Duo, is experiencing significant challenges. Announced at the recent Surprise and Shine event, Apple asserted that it had successfully addressed the complexities associated with this distinctive form factor.

However, early users are reporting issues, with Bloomberg highlighting complaints of screen cracks occurring “within hours or days of usage.” Some have described hearing a loud crunch followed by visible cracks, while others are facing screen malfunctions.

404 Media has noted that many early buyers are encountering noticeable creases running down the center of the [$2,000] folding display.

TechCrunch attempted to reach Apple for a statement and will update their report upon receiving a response. Apple informed Bloomberg that it is “aware of a problem affecting the inner display on a limited number of iPhone Duo units.”

Developing a viable foldable smartphone has long been a goal within the tech industry, yet many existing models have faced similar problems. While Apple claimed to have found a solution, these initial reports indicate that this might not be the case.
