Apple TV Costs Rise in Line with Recent Apple Music Price Increase

Nick Fernandez / Android Authority
In Brief
- Apple TV’s monthly subscription will see an increase from $12.99 to $14.99.
- Annual subscriptions and Apple One plans will also experience price hikes.
- The last significant price raise for Apple occurred in August of the previous year.
Imagine waking up one day to find your preferred streaming service has decided to reduce its rates as a gesture of appreciation to loyal customers. Unfortunately, this scenario seems improbable as streaming companies appear focused on continuously raising prices. Currently, Apple is making a move to contribute to that trend.
Not too long ago, Apple Music announced a slight increase in its fees, with a mere $1 bump. If you interpreted that as the beginning of a trend, you were correct, as Apple TV is now following suit with its own price adjustments.
The monthly subscription to Apple TV will rise from $12.99 to $14.99, as reported. Likewise, annual plans will go from $99 to $119, and individual Apple One subscriptions will increase from $19.95 to $21.95 per month.
This marks the second round of price increases for Apple TV in just over a year, making it 50% more expensive compared to August 2025. It raises the concern that if this trend continues, subscribers may soon be paying over $20 monthly for their favorite shows. While shows like Ted Lasso have their appeal, one must question if they’re worth such costs.

Apple TV has a strong fan base, and the company has curated a robust collection of original content. However, the streaming landscape is volatile, and it will be interesting to see how Apple and its competitors’ subscribers respond to this change in pricing. With a dedicated user community and a well-integrated ecosystem, Apple is likely on stable ground, but tracking subscriber growth moving forward will be insightful.
