Anticipation Builds for the Phone 4b Release on July 7

Introducing Nothing’s latest entry-level smartphone within the B series.
Nothing has announced the upcoming release of its new entry-level smartphone, the Phone 4b, scheduled for launch on July 7 at 6AM Eastern Time. The company has been sharing graphics and animations on X to build anticipation. The design of the Phone 4b closely resembles that of the Phone 4a launched earlier this year, featuring a glyph bar around the camera module. However, the 4b will come with five light panels instead of seven. This glyph bar serves as a vertical lighting interface on the back, allowing users to customize lighting patterns for various notifications.

The Phone 4b has also been spotted on Geekbench, indicating it will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and feature 8GB of RAM. This model marks the company’s initial entry in the “B” series of smartphones. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis described on X that the B series aims to build on the achievements of the A series while venturing into a new market segment, maintaining a clear hierarchy in their product lineup. The A series remains the brand’s “most premium line,” sitting just below the flagship models, which do not carry a letter designation.
Nothing’s budget brand CMF is focused on even more affordable devices than those offered by the main brand. However, CMF recently announced that it will not be launching a successor to its Phone Pro 2 this year due to soaring RAM prices. The subsidiary stated that it is currently unable to create a phone that feels like a significant upgrade at a price point suitable for CMF.
