Amazon is Crafting an Animated Series Set in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe

Henry Cavill is part of the project.
Warhammer 40,000 is set to become an animated series. Reports indicate that Amazon MGM Studios, Blur Studios, and Games Workshop are collaborating on this adaptation of the iconic sci-fi universe. This new series will expand upon an episode titled Secret Level that was based on the game. Directed by Dave Wilson, who also helmed the original Warhammer 40K episode of the Prime Video anthology, he will reprise his role for the animated show and will also co-create it. Notably, talented Warhammer 40K enthusiast Henry Cavill is on board as an executive producer. Cavill is already involved in live-action adaptations of the franchise.
In addition to Wilson, fellow Secret Level creator Tim Miller will also contribute as an executive producer for the new animated series. Miller, a co-founder of Blur Studios, played a key role in producing the anthology. Each episode of the series focused on a different video game, showcasing even lesser-known titles like Concord in animated form.
During a recent financial report, Games Workshop provided updates regarding ongoing live-action projects. The process has reportedly been slow, with the team only just beginning to write the script several years after Amazon secured the rights. CEO Kevin Rountree reassured fans about Cavill’s involvement, addressing concerns that the prolonged silence might imply the actor’s withdrawal from the project.
