AWS Joins Forces with Vibe-Coding Innovator Superblocks, Unveiling Major Implications

The startup Superblocks, known for its vibe-coding technology, has inked a long-term marketing partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) which allows its tool to be integrated into the private clouds of AWS users.
This collaboration means that businesses utilizing AWS and subscribing to Superblocks can provide vibe coding services to their internal users. Importantly, these applications will function within the company’s private cloud, ensuring that no data is sent outside to third-party model providers or databases. Instead of creating connections to external Supabase databases, the applications will generate Amazon Aurora databases in the company’s own cloud environment.
Additionally, the applications will work seamlessly with Amazon Bedrock, which is AWS’s platform for AI application development and inference. This arrangement ensures that these applications won’t operate independently of IT management and security protocols.
“We’re bringing it directly to your data within your private cloud,” stated Superblocks co-founder and CEO Brad Menezes. “The significant aspect is that data remains secure and internal … Everything is managed within their AWS account, ensuring all necessary auditing, encryption, and network security measures are in place.”
AWS is also set to assist in marketing Superblocks to enterprises, similar to its approach with other partners in the Marketplace. According to an AWS representative, “We support partners where we observe strong customer interest and alignment with how customers prefer to develop.”
However, AWS has yet to establish its own vibe-coding platform for business users. Currently, its offerings include Kiro, an AI coding assistant targeted at developers, which does not fall under vibe coding, and Quick, an AI assistant for business users that resembles various other collaborative tools rather than a dedicated vibe coding solution.
This partnership marks a significant step for Superblocks, which has a workforce of around 50 and has raised $60 million as of its Series A funding round in May 2025, with backing from firms like Spark Capital and Kleiner Perkins.
Beyond its immediate benefits, this partnership symbolizes a broader trend among major cloud providers encouraging enterprises to maintain a clear distinction between their AI models and the necessary infrastructure for enterprise AI, promoting in-house development on their platforms rather than relying on external providers.
Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has echoed similar sentiments, urging enterprise clients to adopt multiple AI models to mitigate costs and reduce the risk of vendor lock-in. He cautioned that relying on external AI labs might not be reliable for essential integrations, as these entities may later use business data to develop competitive offerings.
Enterprises seem proactive in this regard, having shifted toward a multi-model adoption strategy, including open-weight models from Chinese providers. “Just two months ago, there was a demand for specific models—like Anthropic—but that approach has evolved,” remarked Menezes.
For instance, open models represented 29% of the traffic through Vercel’s AI gateway last month, a favored tool for enterprises managing multiple AI models.
Furthermore, it’s clear that companies are moving away from being tied to a single provider for all their AI needs.
“Employing a diverse model strategy encompassing premier labs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and both U.S. and Chinese open-source options is now essential for CIOs,” Menezes stated. He emphasized the need for flexibility across various functionalities like coding, customer service, and sales automation.
Menezes is so convinced of this trend that he warned, “Any executive betting on a singular model provider risks losing their job.”
We are witnessing cloud providers starting to offer vibe coding for business users within private and secure environments, which could signify a transformative phase following the introduction of AI coding agents for developers. “It’s a burgeoning category gaining traction, precisely the type of innovation we prefer to support,” stated AWS.
