AI Sensation Instinct Secures $350 Million, Achieving a $2.5 Billion Valuation

Instinct, a startup launched last year and led by a young entrepreneur, has harnessed the growing interest in AI to achieve a remarkable valuation this summer.

The firm, which provides an AI assistant that has garnered positive feedback from early adopters, announced to the press on Wednesday that it secured $250 million in its latest Series B funding round. This brings the company’s total funding to $350 million and elevates its valuation to $2.5 billion.

The funding round was co-led by notable investment firms Index Ventures and Benchmark, according to reports.

Instinct, developed by Spear Street Technology and founded by Noah Shinn, is designed to help users manage their daily lives more effectively. By integrating with various apps and devices, users can interact with the assistant through messages and calls.

“I am incredibly excited about the ways our initial users are engaging with Instinct,” Shinn shared in a tweet on Wednesday. “They’ve reported planning cross-country road trips, buying groceries, purchasing concert tickets, and even canceling various subscriptions. Some are even organizing their weddings with the help of Instinct.”

Though Instinct features a simple website and is currently in a private beta phase, it has sparked some controversy, particularly regarding user privacy. Many users have expressed concerns over the extensive permissions the app requests and the potentially intrusive nature of its terms of use.
