Discover Three Awesome Gibson Guitar Controllers Set to Launch on Tour This December 10th!

Stage Tour is set to bring new energy to the rhythm game scene with its launch on December 10, targeting PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. To celebrate this release, peripheral maker CRKD is introducing three specially designed Gibson guitars, which are now available for pre-order through the official Stage Tour website and CRKD’s platform.

The Stage Tour Pro Guitar Collection features a Gibson Les Paul, Gibson SG, and Gibson Explorer. The Les Paul Oxblood Edition is a tribute to the classic guitar of the same name, while the SG Midnight Blue Edition draws inspiration from a forgotten PS2-era controller concept for Guitar Hero II. Lastly, the 8K Gibson Explorer: 20th Anniversary Edition showcases a striking white design, resembling the historic X-Plorer Controller originally produced by Activision and RedOctane for Guitar Hero II back in 2007, with roots extending further back into musical history.

The Stage Tour Pro Guitar series boasts advanced features like Hall effect click strum bars, innovative mechanical frets, LED neck illumination, and minimal latency. This results in impressive polling rates of 500Hz for wireless and 1,000Hz for wired connections for both the Les Paul and SG guitars. In contrast, the 8K Gibson Explorer promises an amazing 8,000Hz polling rate, whether used wirelessly or wired.

Developed in collaboration with the rhythm gaming experts at RedOctane, these controllers come with a user-friendly design, closely resembling the official Stage Tour Kramer Wireless Guitar Controller. The Kramer retails at $110 and is available on all platforms, along with an official drum kit priced at $200 and a wireless microphone at $30. However, it’s important to note that the drum hardware won’t be compatible with Switch 2 during launch, although drum parts can still be utilized with Joy-Con 2s or a Switch 2 Pro Controller.

CRKD’s Gibson SG model features a deep blue finish, confirming its status as an officially licensed PlayStation product, compatible with PS4, PS5, and PC, priced at $130.

The Oxblood Les Paul is available in two variations: one for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and another for Android, PC, and Switch. The Xbox-compatible version is priced at $130, while the broader compatible model costs $120.

Lastly, the Explorer model, also compatible with PC, Android, and Switch, is priced at $130. This model is expected to start shipping in mid-January, while the other two should be available on the day of Stage Tour‘s launch in December.

CRKD continues to strengthen its collaboration with Gibson, already presenting a range of rhythm game guitars inspired by the brand’s iconic designs.
