Nintendo Unveils Exciting New Switch 2 Bundles Before Upcoming Price Hike

Purchasing the console, Mario Kart World, and three months of Switch Online access is currently more affordable.

As Nintendo is set to raise the price of the Switch 2, the company has unveiled a new bundle featuring Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, alongside an updated Mario Kart World package. Both bundles will come with a 90-day individual Nintendo Switch Online membership, which was previously not included in the initial Mario Kart World offering. The games will be provided in digital format.

The new Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle will be priced at $550, reflecting a $50 increase over the old bundle. This is in accordance with the console’s new price of $500, effective from September 1. The addition of three months of Switch Online access, typically priced at $8, slightly mitigates this increase.

Nintendo indicates that the upcoming bundle, set for release in late September, will be $38 cheaper than purchasing the console, the game, and Switch Online access separately at that time. However, if you buy these items now—while the console is priced at $450 and the game at $80—you’ll save $12 compared to the updated bundle. Alternatively, subscribing for a year of Switch Online could give you an additional nine months of access for the same price as the bundle.

The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle will launch on October 22, coinciding with the game’s release. It will retail for $530, resulting in a $28 discount, meaning that Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will be available for $50.

In May, Nintendo announced a Switch 2 bundle that allowed customers to choose between Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. This limited-time offer is likely to be phased out as the price increase approaches.
