Amazon Unveils a Fresh Google TV-Inspired Interface for Fire TV Sticks and Ember Televisions

At the start of this year, Amazon announced plans to revamp the user interface for Fire TV, drawing noticeable inspiration from Google TV. Just ahead of Prime Day, the company has begun to roll out this updated design.
Amazon has confirmed that the new Fire TV experience will be available to users starting today. This updated UI is now accessible across all current-generation Fire TV Stick models and Ember smart TVs, including the Fire TV 4K Select, Fire TV Cube, and Ember TVs that were introduced last fall.
To summarize, this new interface features enhanced layouts, rounded corners, refreshed color gradients, updated typography, and better-optimized spacing. Notably, users can expect a performance boost of 20-30% in certain instances. Additionally, there will be a new tab for content from various subscriptions, a shortcut panel, and the ability to pin up to 20 apps directly on the home screen.
