Nscale Seeks $3.5 Billion in Pre-IPO Funding for AI Infrastructure Expansion

Nscale, a UK-based artificial intelligence infrastructure firm established just two years ago, is considering a public listing as soon as this month. Ahead of this anticipated IPO, the company is actively negotiating to secure an additional $3.5 billion in funding.
According to reports, Nscale plans to issue $1.5 billion in convertible notes, which are loans that can be transformed into company shares, to a group of investors while also pursuing $2 billion in financing from Nvidia.
Nvidia was also involved in Nscale’s Series B funding round last March, where the company raised $1.1 billion led by investment firm Aker. Nscale branded this round as “the largest Series B in European history.” In December 2024, the company completed its Series A funding round, securing $155 million.
Inquiries were made to both Nscale and Nvidia for further comments.
The rise of AI infrastructure startups has been remarkable in this current wave of AI excitement, with computational power emerging as a crucial asset.
Recently, Nscale finalized a significant agreement with Anthropic valued at around $45 billion. Reports indicated earlier this week that Nscale has been informing potential investors of projected revenues nearing $103 billion, a figure derived from signed leases with customers rather than immediate sales, according to industry sources.
