Shortly after unveiling the premium Motorola Signature 27 smartphone, Motorola is set to launch two complementary products: the Moto Watch 2 Fit and the Moto Buds 2 Ultra. The former includes Polar tracking capabilities, while the latter is equipped with Bose SoundDesign tuning and active noise cancellation.
The Moto Watch 2 Fit distinguishes itself from typical screenless fitness trackers by featuring a 1.85-inch OLED display, safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 3 and bordered by a minimal 2mm bezel. The always-on display offers a peak brightness of 1,500 nits and a refresh rate of 60Hz, with a battery life expected to last up to 12 days. Its rugged design ensures it can withstand dirt, dust, and water, boasting an IP68 rating and 5ATM water resistance for everyday splashes, rain, and brief swims.
This device is equipped with various fitness-tracking features including step and distance counting, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress management, menstrual cycle tracking, and the ability to log over 100 different types of workouts.
The Polar insights offer a new Running Index feature for tracking aerobic efficiency and weekly running progress. Users can also monitor their Daily Activity Score and Goals. The device breaks down Active Intensity Zones to reveal the time spent in various heart rate areas, along with Energy Sources insights to better understand workout-related metabolism.
Additional wellness features include sleep monitoring tools such as a Serene mode for breathing exercises, Nightly Recharge for assessing sleep quality, and Sleep Plus Stages for analyzing sleep phases. During the day, an Inactivity Alert prompts users to move, and Smart Calories tracks calories burned efficiently.
In the future, Motorola plans to introduce an AI-driven feature for fitness guidance that responds to the command “Hey Qira.”
Users can also take phone calls directly on the Moto Watch 2 Fit.
Availability for the Moto Watch 2 Fit will span Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks. In specific markets, it may be branded as the Moto Watch Fit 27. Customers can expect to choose from three color options: Stratified Sea, Pigeon, and Ballerina, with a starting price of €119 (approximately $133).
Turning to the Moto Buds 2 Ultra, these earbuds come equipped with 11mm drivers and a Transparency Mode that allows ambient sounds to seep in, ensuring user safety. Features like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking provide an immersive audio experience. Additionally, users can benefit from AI-driven live translation capabilities when paired with compatible Motorola devices.
Motorola claims that the Moto Buds 2 Ultra can deliver up to eight hours of continuous listening on a single charge, extending to 37 hours when using the charging case. These earbuds also come with IP57 water and dust resistance.
These earbuds will also be available in different regions, including Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Asia-Pacific shortly. In select markets, they may be known as the Moto Buds Ultra 27, with a price tag of €199 (around $223).
