In summary:

- This addition lets users manage and inquire about their notebooks directly from their discussions in Gemini.
- Access to the Gemini Notebook is granted to all Workspace clients, individual Workspace subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
For those looking to enhance their experience with the Gemini application, the Connected Apps feature is now available. This functionality allows users to integrate other apps with the chatbot, facilitating seamless access to their services during discussions. Recent additions include Peloton, SeatGeek, and Airtable, and now the Gemini Notebook joins this suite of apps.
The Gemini Notebook, previously known as NotebookLM, has been officially integrated as a Connected App. This means users can now manage and retrieve notebook information within their conversations. Simply typing @Gemini Notebook in the chat enables users to create new notebooks, add references, save notes, and retrieve data from existing notebooks.
According to Google:
The Gemini app can automatically identify the appropriate context to utilize the Gemini Notebook Connected App for relevant queries. Users can request Gemini to:
- Create, edit, or remove a notebook (e.g., “Create a Gemini Notebook about solar farm market trends”).
- Add, update, or delete references in a notebook (e.g., “Include this chat in my Bio 101 notebook”).
- Provide a list of notebooks and their references (e.g., “Display all sources in my US National Parks notebook”).
- Answer questions using insights from your notebook (e.g., “What information do my Gemini Notebooks have on butterfly migration?”).
The Connected App is currently available to all users immediately, including Workspace clients, individual Workspace subscribers, and personal Google account holders.
