iOS 27 Beta 2 Launch: Discover the Latest Features!

Spoiler: More developments with Siri.
Apple is making significant strides in prep for the fall release of iOS 27. Recently, the company launched the second beta of its upcoming operating systems for developers. This version builds on features highlighted during the WWDC 2026 event, notably focusing on a new and enhanced Siri. The same improvements are reflected across the beta versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, demonstrating Apple’s comprehensive approach to adding functionalities.
As testers explore this latest beta, more details are likely to be discovered. A major change includes the introduction of the “Write with Siri” feature, replacing the previous AI-driven Writing Tools prompt on iPhones and iPads. This new prompt appears above the keyboard and disappears to a Siri icon once typing begins without assistance from the AI. Additional updates for Siri are minor, primarily enhancing speed and indicating that some features in the Expressive Voice preview are “coming soon.”
Moreover, updates to RCS messaging within the Messages app are noteworthy. There has been a growing connection and security between texts sent from Apple and non-Apple devices recently, and this latest beta maintains that trend. The new version of iOS 27 adds support for message reactions and inline responses for RCS.
Other changes include enhanced iPhone Mirroring in macOS Golden Gate, addressing issues present in beta 1, along with a firmware update feature for AirPods Max 2. As the official launch approaches, we will be keeping watch for any more interesting updates.
