I’m Really Drawn to a Slate Electric Vehicle in a Crayola Hue

The minimalist automaker joins forces with a renowned crayon manufacturer.
Until now, Slate’s basic electric vehicle has embraced Henry Ford’s famous line about color choices being limited to one option: black grey(-ish). However, for those seeking something a bit more vibrant, the company has formed a collaboration with Crayola to offer five distinctive wraps in popular colors. The available shades include Cerulean (blue), Dandelion (yellow), Fern (green), Razzmatazz (pink), and Jersey Tomato (how the name suggests, red).
Slate previously indicated that the truck was designed with wrapping options as part of a broader customization feature for the base model. If you choose one of the Crayola starter packages, you’ll receive not just the wrap, but also a key fob cap, an attached dashboard Slatelet (a whimsical custom icon), and some bonus decals. To secure this exciting option, a pre-order is required with a deposit of $300. After that, you can visit the Slate Marketplace to choose your preferred color for an additional cost of $1,550.
As for my personal preference, I find myself torn between Dandelion and Fern, as it’s rare to spot a vibrant green SUV on the streets.
