The Google Play Store may greet you with a fresh appearance during your next visit. Significant updates have been applied to two main sections of the platform, and these changes seem to be rolling out broadly.

This update impacts only the Games and Apps tabs, leaving the Books section unchanged. An example of the previous design can be spotted in the accompanying screenshots. Previously, tabs included For you, Top Charts, Kids, and Categories, plus a Premium tab in Games. Below these tabs was a header area that showcased a carousel of apps, succeeded by a list of applications.
The new design features pill-shaped tabs. Selecting Top Charts or Categories now redirects users to a separate page, making it necessary to click the arrow in the top left to return to the main page. Furthermore, the For You tab has been eliminated, now becoming the default home page for both Games and Apps sections.
Additionally, the update includes a fresh design for the Google Play Points display. Previously shown in a blue pill-shaped box at the top of the page, this feature has been removed, along with a revamp of the badge notifications.
Note: An APK teardown can provide insights into future features based on early code, although these features may not necessarily be included in the final release.
