Samsung is gearing up for its next significant software update. Recent leaks have showcased the first look at One UI 9.5 as it appears on a Galaxy phone, alongside a preview of the new native App Lock feature. Fresh information now highlights minor design tweaks and enhanced system functionalities intended for the Galaxy S26 series.
According to images shared by Fahad Ali Javed on social media, One UI 9.5 features a discernible design refinement focused on enhancing visual depth.
Samsung is integrating subtle shading effects across home screen widgets, the navigation bar at the bottom, and the action buttons at the top. Instead of flat designs, these new enhancements with drop shadows and frosted elements create a clearer division between interactive controls and the background content, resulting in a more sophisticated layered overall appearance.
The leak also discloses a redesigned Dialer interface that incorporates a system-level search feature, reportedly powered by Samsung’s AI technology. This addition allows users to search for contextual information, contacts, and recent interactions directly from the dialer, streamlining access without the need to switch between different menus.
As of now, Samsung has not made any official announcements regarding One UI 9.5, and likely won’t for some time, given that One UI 9 has only just been launched and hasn’t reached all devices yet.
