Summary:
- ASUS is providing a three-month trial of Google AI Pro or Plus with selected ASUS and ROG laptops.
- Eligible purchases may even include laptops that were bought prior to the promotion.
- The specific plan you receive is based on your laptop model, with AI Pro offering 5TB of storage and AI Plus delivering 400GB.
If you’re considering a new laptop to leverage the latest AI capabilities, it’s important to make an informed choice. While many laptops boast support for the newest AI technologies, often there’s a stipulation: fully utilizing these features may require a paid subscription. Fortunately, ASUS has launched a promotional offer to help you get started without any upfront costs.
This offer applies to models released in 2025, 2026, and the upcoming 2027 range across several lines including ROG, TUF Gaming, ProArt, Zenbook, and Vivobook. To qualify for the complimentary subscription, you’ll need to own one of the qualifying ASUS laptops within the redemption timeframe spanning from August 10, 2026, to August 9, 2027. A comprehensive list of qualifying models can be found on the ASUS website.
It’s important to note that even if your device qualifies, you may still be ineligible for the promotion based on specific criteria set by ASUS. Those restrictions include:
- Current Google One subscribers with an add-on.
- Users on a higher-tier plan than what’s offered.
- Family plan members who are not the plan administrator.
- Google One subscribers via third-party links.
- Users already on a discounted Pixel bundle.
If you fall into one of these categories, you could redeem the promotion through a different Google account. Additionally, if you utilize the promotional subscription while retaining an existing Google One membership, the trial will commence immediately, resulting in the cancellation of your current plan. A refund for the prior subscription may not be guaranteed.
For those looking to redeem the promotional offer, it’s wise to set a reminder about three months post-redemption. This is crucial as you’ll be billed at the standard Google One subscription rate once the promotional period concludes.

The plan you receive—either the premium AI Pro or the budget AI Plus—depends on the specific ASUS laptop you own; you won’t have the option to select your preferred plan.
AI Plus serves as the entry-level plan, providing access to lightweight models and features like Gemini 3.1 Pro and Deep Research. It includes capabilities in Google apps and increased usage limits for content generation within Gemini and AI Mode, along with 400GB of cloud storage from Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
In comparison, AI Pro is the more advanced offering, featuring everything from AI Plus and providing greater access to premium Gemini models and features, alongside 5TB of cloud storage across Gmail, Drive, and Photos. This plan also includes YouTube Premium Lite, Google Health Premium, and Google Home Premium.
