Daytona, the Agent Cloud Startup, Reaches $1B Valuation with Support from FirstMark and Notable Angel Investors

On Friday, Daytona Platforms revealed that it has successfully completed a $60 million Series B funding round, reaching a valuation of $1 billion. With this latest investment, the startup has accumulated a total of $91 million in funding.
Based in New York, Daytona has garnered the support of FirstMark Growth, who also led its earlier $24 million Series A round in February. The new funding round has seen participation from several prominent angel investors, including Patrick Collison from Stripe, Tobi Lütke from Shopify, Aravind Srinivas from Perplexity, Eric Yuan from Zoom, Olivier Pomel from Datadog, and Adam D’Angelo from Quora, who is also affiliated with OpenAI. Additionally, the round included participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures.
Founded three years ago, Daytona Platforms is developing a cloud infrastructure tailored for long-running agents, which differ significantly from traditional software requirements. According to founder Ivan Burazin, modern cloud systems are not designed to accommodate the spontaneous demands of agents, which often initiate numerous short-lived, stateful tasks unpredictably. Daytona’s cloud aspires to provide each agent with a dedicated virtual machine, enabling access to isolated environments including Linux, Windows, macOS, and GPU resources, all within a singular platform.
