London Set to Welcome a Permanent Pokémon Store, with Expansions Planned for Locations Beyond Asia

A new retail store is anticipated to launch by 2029.

Currently, Pokémon enthusiasts living outside of Asia either have to journey to the continent or await occasional pop-up stores in their vicinity to indulge in physical merchandise. However, this will soon change as The Pokémon Company announces plans to introduce several permanent stores beyond Asia, with the inaugural location set to debut in London by 2029.

Previously, London has hosted temporary Pokémon shops, including a site at the Natural History Museum earlier this year, alongside others tied to Pokémon events like the European International Championships. The new permanent store will also feature exclusive merchandise.

Gaku Susai, the Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, stated, “We are consistently looking for opportunities to create unique and unforgettable experiences for our fans. This new store in London will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the Pokémon universe, whether they are new to the brand or seasoned trainers.”

The Pokémon Company plans to share information about additional physical stores in the near future. If they choose to open a location in New York, it wouldn’t be their first as Pokémon Center New York was established in 2001, though it later transitioned to become Nintendo’s flagship store in 2005.
