Revolutionary Wi-Fi External GPU Turns Any Device into a High-Performance Gaming Machine
Preorders for the WiCi One have started at $1,999.
WiCi is unveiling a wireless solution designed for users who prefer to maintain the sleekness of their laptops while still being able to run graphically demanding games and intensive AI applications. The device, named the WiCi One, eliminates the need for cumbersome cables, providing the power of a high-performance graphics card via Wi-Fi 7 to any compatible device. This sets it apart from traditional eGPU options, which typically rely on Thunderbolt or OCuLink connections.
Contained within its own chassis, the WiCi One features a dedicated graphics card, a Wi-Fi 7 module, and an integrated cooling system. The entry-level version is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPU, Intel Core 3 100U CPU, and 1TB of NVMe storage. There are plans for a more advanced model featuring an RTX 5090 32GB GPU, an Intel Core Ultra 7 225H processor, and a 4TB NVMe 5 SSD. According to WiCi, the RTX 5060 Ti model can efficiently run Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra with DLSS 4, delivering 80 fps, and handle Black Myth: Wukong with 4K Cinematic graphics at 60 fps. Besides gaming, the WiCi One is also marketed as a solution for managing heavy AI workloads or running local AI assistants.
The base model of the WiCi One is currently up for preorder at a starting price of $1,999 and is expected to retail for $2,599 upon official release. WiCi anticipates beginning to ship the initial units in the fourth quarter of this year, and pricing details for the higher-end RTX 5090 model will be shared closer to its launch date.
