Apple Expands iCloud+ Offerings with TV and Arcade Subscriptions in 100 Nations
Apple is enhancing its iCloud+ subscription service in various regions. Currently, iCloud+ subscribers enjoy increased storage options, along with privacy features like Private Relay, which conceals IP addresses, and Hide My Email, which allows users to generate random email addresses. Now, Apple is also incorporating Apple TV and Arcade into iCloud+ subscriptions in more than 100 countries.
Previously, the company has offered a bundled subscription package known as Apple One, which includes services like iCloud+, Apple TV, Apple Music, and Arcade. This bundle starts at $20 a month, making it significantly pricier than a basic iCloud+ membership. The entry-level iCloud+ plan is available for only $1 in the United States, with similar pricing in other markets.
By adding Apple TV and Arcade to the $1 iCloud+ plan, it appears Apple may be stepping back from promoting the Apple One bundle in those regions. This move might indicate an acknowledgment that lowering service prices could foster greater growth in certain areas. As noted by industry analysts, Apple is even integrating Apple Music Select into the iCloud+ package, providing subscribers with access to a selection of ad-free internet radio stations. Additionally, this expansion will broaden the reach of Apple TV to 59 new countries.
Regrettably, the new iCloud+ bundle will not be offered in the United States. However, it is available in a range of other regions including India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
