Recently, Hasbro has unveiled some intriguing collaborations in the Transformers universe. From NFL helmets transforming into football-themed robots to a mashup inspired by Evangelion, the variety has been impressive. Their latest venture with the creators of Scooby Doo might just be one of the most amusing Transformers yet.
Retailing at $58, this set features not one, but two figures. The famous Mystery Machine turns into a robot known as Mysterious Prime, while a seemingly ordinary box of Scooby Snacks becomes a mechanical dog detective called Automutt. Although this pairing seems unconventional at first glance, Hasbro has managed to craft appealing figures that respectfully nod to both franchises.

One highlight is Hasbro’s meticulous attention to detail. Mysterious Prime features four interchangeable heads that reflect each human character from the show, complete with distinctive elements like Fred’s iconic ascot and Velma’s recognizable glasses. Also included is a miniature plastic camera, adding to the playful crime-solving theme.
While it’s unclear how many fans of Transformers overlap with those of Scooby Doo—given that both franchises enjoyed widespread popularity during the 70s and 80s afternoon TV slots—the timing of this release seems aimed at generating excitement for the forthcoming live-action Scooby Doo series on Netflix, expected to debut in 2027.
