A Closer Glimpse at the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2: Our Most Detailed Preview Yet!

Summary:
- Leaked graphics of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have surfaced from renowned source Evan Blass.
- The images showcase a squircle design with updated number markings, reminiscent of Samsung’s Classic smartwatch from the prior year.
- The timepiece’s rear reveals essential specifications including its 47mm size, sapphire crystal protection, LTE capability, GPS functionality, and 10ATM water resistance rating.
The anticipated Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 may have been fully revealed through recent leaks. Evan Blass, a credible leaker who had seemingly stepped back, has shared what looks like official images of the soon-to-be-released smartwatch, providing a detailed preview ahead of its anticipated launch next month.
The leaked visuals show Samsung adhering closely to the squircle aesthetic of the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. The images present at least two color variants: a black model and a greenish shade resembling the rumored Graphite option of the standard Galaxy Watch 9.
Examining the watch’s backside reveals key features. The casing is labeled “47mm,” confirming this dimension, along with indications of sapphire crystal protection, LTE connectivity, GPS, and a waterproof rating of 10ATM. In keeping with previous Galaxy Watch Ultra iterations, this model appears to be exclusively a cellular version, with no indication of a Wi-Fi only alternative.
Internally, it has been announced that Samsung’s forthcoming smartwatch lineup will utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite platform. Additional leaks hint that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 might be powered by a 784mAh battery.
A detail left uncertain by the leaked images is whether the watch includes a fully rotatable bezel or dial. The visuals do not clarify this, but the surrounding display shows a slightly elevated bezel that features minute engravings and markings, including an orange triangular indicator at the 12 o’clock position. This resembles the rotating bezel found on last year’s Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Given predictions that Samsung will not introduce a new Classic version this year, it’s plausible they may be incorporating this feature into the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
On the right side, the trademark three-button configuration of Samsung is evident. A prominent circular action button is in the middle, framed by an orange accent ring, flanked above and below by two slender metallic buttons.
With Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event slated for July, we can expect to hear all the details regarding the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 very soon.
