The Moto Watch Ultra represents Motorola’s latest entry into the smartwatch market, combining various attractive features at a price point of $350. This model includes support for LTE eSIM, operates on Wear OS 6, has a 1.5-inch pOLED screen, and implements Polar’s health and fitness algorithms. While this assortment is compelling, some compromises were made, particularly with the processor and the limit of just two OS upgrades.
Fortunately, there are plenty of excellent Wear OS options available. Brands like Google and Samsung have several worthy alternatives. Therefore, before making a decision on the Moto Watch Ultra, it’s advisable to look at these five competing smartwatches.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025)
C. Scott Brown
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 features a rugged design, closely resembling the Moto Watch Ultra, with a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen, 64GB storage, LTE functionality, and an improved battery life. Additionally, it is more durable, featuring sapphire crystal glass and certification for MIL-STD-810H.
The health and fitness tracking capabilities are impressive, with precise GPS tracking, four years’ worth of OS upgrades, and a battery that can easily last two days or longer. Though originally launched at $650, its current price is more manageable.
Google Pixel Watch 4

The Google Pixel Watch 4 remains a strong contender, one year after its release. In comparison to the Moto Watch Ultra, it offers a lighter and sleeker design, a brighter display, a faster processor, and options for two different sizes along with optional LTE. The 41mm version can be found for approximately $230, while the 45mm version with LTE retails for about $530.
With three years of OS updates guaranteed, the Pixel Watch 4 will receive support until late 2028. Although the Pixel Watch 5 serves as its successor, it doesn’t bring significant hardware improvements, which makes the new pricing of $499 seem less appealing.
Having used the Pixel Watch 4 extensively, I can attest to its outstanding display and impressive battery life. The device effectively tracks sleep and health metrics, and it’s capable of charging fully in about thirty minutes. Overall, it’s a commendable smartwatch at a more attractive price point following the recent price drop.
