The Fold 8 is essentially a mini-tablet that fits in your pocket
The Z Fold 8 marks a significant change in design direction. Samsung has shifted away from the taller and narrower cover screen seen in previous models, favoring a wider, more practical layout that enhances texting and one-handed use.
When unfolded, its 7.6-inch main display features a 4:3 aspect ratio that eliminates the black bars often seen during streaming, providing a truly immersive tablet-like experience. This display boasts Samsung’s highest brightness level, reaching up to 3,000 nits. The new Flex Titanium structure minimizes the visibility of creases, while deeper edge scoops add a satisfying mechanical feel when opening the device.
Internally, the Z Fold 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, coupled with 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking, split-screen usage, and gaming functionalities.
The camera arrangement sustains a dual-lens setup on the back with two 50MP sensors for wide and ultra-wide shots. While it lacks a dedicated telephoto lens, the computational photography capabilities and Galaxy AI features, like My FanCam for subject tracking during videos, provide solid results for casual users. The front camera has been upgraded from the Fold 7, with dual 10MP sensors on both the cover screen and main display—enhancing selfie and video call framing on either side of the fold.
Samsung asserts that the Z Fold 8 is the lightest foldable smartphone it has made, with a redesigned hinge that significantly reduces crease visibility during media viewing. For those seeking a foldable device that emphasizes practicality, battery longevity, and a compact design rather than an expansive camera array, this deal on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is quite attractive.
