K-Pop Demon Hunters Unveils Its Inaugural LEGO Set!

Honor Jinu’s unique pets, Derpy and Sussie.
KPop Demon Hunters is making its mark as an acclaimed film on Netflix, even securing an Academy Award. In a delightful twist, it is now set to receive a Lego set, a true testament to its popularity. Lego and Netflix have collaborated to launch the first of what promises to be a collection of merchandise inspired by the film, considering the high demand for related products. This debut set showcases Jinu’s magical companions, Derpy the Tiger and Sussie the Bird, with the quirky six-eyed magpie perched adorably on Derpy’s head.
The Lego set features representations of both creatures, drawing inspiration from Kkachi horangi, a form of Korean folk art that often playfully depicts tigers and magpies. Also included are a flowerpot and several friendship notes designed to rest on Derpy’s tongue, should you decide to let it hang out. Ingeniously, Derpy’s head is designed to be hollow, allowing for storing the tongue, flowerpot, and messages inside once you’re finished playing. This set is sure to find a prominent spot on the shelves of many young fans of KPop Demon Hunters, although it’s amusing that the Lego site felt the need to emphasize that Derpy is not malevolent.
The Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird set can be pre-ordered for $70, with deliveries expected to start on August 1.
