Jackery Advances Portable Power with More Compact Stations

Jackery has unveiled its latest portable power station, the Explorer 100D, which features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology that the company initially rolled out in 2023. Notably, this model is the smallest in Jackery’s lineup, with dimensions of just 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and a weight of 1.87 pounds. This compact size, combined with a capacity of 96Wh (30,000mAh), makes it an ideal option for travelers looking to keep devices powered during lengthy flights.
The Explorer 100D will hit the shelves starting November 15 and will be sold at Walmart for $99. In the meantime, customers can find it at Costco, but only in a two-pack for $179.99. While there are smaller and less expensive 30,000mAh portable chargers available, Jackery emphasizes that the LFP batteries in the 100D are built to provide reliable power for up to eight years, with a lifespan of 3,000 charge cycles, far surpassing conventional lithium-ion battery options.
Even with its lighter and more compact design compared to other Jackery models, the 100D still features a built-in handle for easy transport, along with an optional shoulder strap. It offers two USB-C ports rated at 140W and one USB-A port rated at 18W. However, it’s important to note that the total output is limited to 158W, meaning users may experience reduced power delivery when all ports are utilized simultaneously. Additionally, the 100D can be charged via solar input, supporting up to 100W from a solar panel, which can replenish up to 80 percent of its battery in approximately 90 minutes.
