DJI has introduced its latest 360-degree action camera, the Osmo 360 II, during IFA 2026, bringing several enhancements including a larger sensor and faster video recording.
The standout feature is a new 1-inch square HDR sensor, designed to maintain the same 360-degree field of view as a traditional rectangular sensor. This sensor enables the capture of 8K video at 60fps, offering a dynamic range of up to 14.5 stops and pixel size of 2.4μm.
For improved low-light shooting, the Osmo 360 II incorporates DJI’s AI SuperNight 2.0 and an AI noise-reduction system aimed at producing clearer and more luminous footage in low-light environments.
The camera supports 120MP HDR photos, 16K timelapse functionality, and 8K/120fps Vortex footage. DJI claims its software can create up to 64x slow-motion effects through AI-based frame interpolation, which is similar to cropped 8K/480fps footage. All video formats come with 10-bit color support, and D-Log M is available for color grading.
In terms of durability, the Osmo 360 II is waterproof up to 10 meters without a case and can function in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. The camera also features a new Spotlight Follow mode, which ensures subjects remain centered even while the camera rotates.
The camera weighs 183g and comes equipped with 105GB of built-in storage. One of its notable features is the introduction of replaceable lenses, allowing users to easily change a damaged lens.
When it comes to battery life, DJI states that the camera can record for up to 100 minutes at 8K/30fps and can reach an 80% charge within 22 minutes.
The Osmo 360 II seamlessly integrates with DJI’s Mimo app and allows direct connections to supported DJI microphones.
