The weekend is almost upon us, giving many a chance to relax and recharge. While some may find joy in gardening or creative hobbies, there are those tech enthusiasts who look forward to exploring the latest Android updates. For this crowd, Google has just introduced Android 17 QPR1 Beta 8.

Google highlights several key fixes in Beta 8:

  • A fix for audio framework buffer management issues leading to unexpected loud noises and static during media playback and notifications.
  • Resolved an issue where the Pixel Tablet Speaker Dock would often disconnect or fail to connect.
  • An NFC service glitch that prevented certain NFC tags from reading data or opening URLs.
  • A problem with fingerprint authentication that sometimes did not activate during device unlocking.

The extensive references connected to the audio framework issue indicate it was a significant problem that needed addressing.
