Summary
- Gmail Live and AI Inbox are now available for Workspace users.
- New options for changing Gmail Live voices are accessible directly from the chat interface.
- These features currently cater only to English-speaking users in the United States.
During the Google I/O event in 2026, the company showcased a voice chat feature powered by Gemini, integrated into popular applications like Gmail, Keep notes, and Docs. Following last month’s rollout of Keep Live, Docs Live, and Gmail Live for individual accounts, Google is now extending these innovations to a broader group of users.
Recently, it was announced that Gmail Live is being introduced for users with Workspace accounts. This feature employs a voice-driven interactive system, enabling users to request the AI assistant to extract specific information from their emails. It can sift through multiple email threads, streamlining the process without requiring any typing from users.
