Beth and Rip Settle In: Dutton Ranch Gets Season 2 Renewal on Paramount+

Beth and Rip are set to bring more excitement to Texas, as Paramount+ has officially renewed Dutton Ranch for its second season. This announcement comes just as the first season draws to a close, with only two episodes left to air.

Dutton Ranch features Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, characters they portrayed for five seasons in the acclaimed series Yellowstone, which aired on the Paramount Network from 2018 to 2024.

The Pair Encounters New Challenges in Texas

In Dutton Ranch, Beth and Rip trade their Montana background for a fresh start in South Texas, joined by their adopted son, Carter (Finn Little). As they embark on developing their new ranch, they hope to leave their past troubles behind. However, they soon discover that the Texan landscape is filled with its own brand of fierce competition, particularly from Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), a rival ranch owner intent on maintaining her dominance.

The cast also includes Juan Pablo Raba as Joaquin Jackson Reyes, Jai Courtney as Rob-Will Jackson, J.R. Villarreal as Azul Ramos, Marc Menchaca as Zachariah Moss, Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreana Lynn Jackson, and Ed Harris as Everett McKinney.

Showrunner Chad Feehan oversees season one of Dutton Ranch, which is based on characters created by executive producers John Linson and Taylor Sheridan.

The series is gaining traction and popularity, mirroring that of Yellowstone. It boasts the largest original series launch in Paramount+ history, racking up 12.9 million views worldwide in its first week, following its premiere on May 15. On its debut night, the two-episode premiere attracted 2.9 million viewers—the most significant cable series premiere since 2023.

Nielsen statistics indicate that Dutton Ranch was the top streaming series for the week of May 11, showcasing Sheridan’s successful brand at Paramount that continues to thrive even as he prepares to move to NBCUniversal in the near future. Earlier this year, Sheridan introduced The Madison, a new series featuring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, which has already been renewed for two additional seasons.

Fans of Yellowstone can also catch Marshals, a CBS procedural starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. This series has recently concluded its inaugural season, now available for streaming on Paramount+. Marshals has also been granted a second season renewal.

As for Dutton Ranch, two episodes remain, with the first scheduled to air on June 26 and the season finale on July 3. Audiences can also catch the latest episodes on Paramount Network on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
