Anthropic is experiencing remarkable revenue growth that shows signs of further acceleration. By the close of July, the company’s annualized revenue run rate—an estimate based on recent earnings—exceeded $65 billion. This figure marked a significant increase from $47 billion in May and a mere $9 billion at the end of last year.
The company has not yet responded to inquiries for additional information.
Investors are optimistic that Anthropic will maintain a similar growth trajectory for the rest of the year, projecting an end-of-year revenue between $100 billion and $120 billion, as reported by a financial source.
In contrast, competitor OpenAI has reportedly achieved a revenue doubling to reach $40 billion, rising from $20 billion at the end of 2025.
While the two firms may differ in how they measure revenue, Anthropic’s growth rate has garnered greater investor attention compared to that of OpenAI.
Both companies have submitted confidential documents for an initial public offering (IPO). Anthropic is anticipated to enter the public market ahead of OpenAI, potentially as early as this fall. Reports suggest that Anthropic seeks a market valuation of $2 trillion or higher, which would set a record for the largest IPO ever.
Earlier this year, Anthropic was valued at $965 billion following a $65 billion funding round completed in late May.
