Meta Subtly Unveils AI Fashion App for Virtual Wardrobe Exploration

Currently, the app is being rolled out in select Asian countries.

Meta has unveiled a new AI application with a limited launch. Following the recent introduction of Waddle World, a pet-like game described as a “daily journal disguised as a pet,” in the Philippines, the company has now released an AI fashion app named Style Sketch, available in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand on both Android and iOS platforms.

The app was first highlighted by social media analyst Matt Navarra on X. Style Sketch allows you to link your Facebook and Instagram accounts to create a virtual wardrobe using photos shared on those platforms. If you prefer not to connect your accounts, you can upload photos directly from your device or take new snapshots of your clothing.

Once your wardrobe is set up, the app can suggest various outfit combinations. You can try these on a virtual model that reflects your body type and skin tone. Users have the option to select any clothing piece from their collection to build outfits around it, input daily weather conditions, or request outfit ideas for specific trips.

As noted by TechCrunch, Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned earlier this year that the organization is launching numerous apps, as advancements in AI have simplified the development process. These applications are also a strategic move to attract more users and enhance training for their AI systems. While Meta is not the first to offer an AI-driven fashion application, competitors like Google have introduced similar features. Google’s AI search, for instance, has included a virtual clothing try-on tool since 2025, along with a “Wardrobe” feature in its Photos app that catalogs items by scanning your photo library. Recently, OpenAI also rolled out a ChatGPT function that allows users to upload photos to see how certain clothes would fit them.
