Cerebras CEO Envisions a Future Where Personal AI Assistants Become Household Norms

Andrew Feldman, the CEO and co-founder of Cerebras Systems, predicts that soon, AI devices will become commonplace in households.
During his presentation at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, Feldman addressed how close we are to seeing AI integrated into daily home life, stating, “Actually, I don’t think that’s very far away.”
He cited examples like Meta’s AI agents, Muse and Instinct, which have gained significant traction among users, illustrating how AI is becoming more accessible to the general public.
When it comes to home AI technologies, Feldman envisions personal assistants that operate locally.
“Just like your smartphone, they will handle some tasks on the device and others with cloud support,” he elaborated. “I believe they will become very familiar with you and will operate within a secure framework. Additionally, they should have access to payment methods and be able to make purchases on your behalf,” he added, expressing optimism about their potential to enhance our daily lives.
For a company specializing in AI chips, the concept of home-based AI appliances represents a promising future.
Feldman isn’t only developing the hardware; he also engages with personal AI tools himself, utilizing “a collection of agents” to manage his schedule, gather information about upcoming calls, and perform various tasks. While acknowledging the capabilities of AI in automating previous manual tasks, Feldman is particularly excited about the novel opportunities that lie ahead.
He defers to other entrepreneurs to explore these emerging possibilities.
“One reason I enjoy working in infrastructure is that I don’t have to focus on consumer applications … I prefer to create the platforms that empower others’ ideas,” he remarked.
