Could HomeView Mark Apple’s Breakthrough in Smart Home Technology?

On Tuesday, Apple is set to introduce a new smart home hub named HomeView, as reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

In recent years, there have been various indications about Apple’s development of a new smart home gadget, and it now appears that the device has both a title and a scheduled launch. Gurman describes the HomeView as an intelligent device powered by Siri, equipped with a display and an A18 chip, enabling users to manage their other smart home gadgets.

The HomeView is expected to come in two variants—one intended for countertop placement and another designed for wall mounting.

This marks Apple’s most substantial initiative in the smart home sector to date, following the limited success of its HomeKit software framework and HomePod smart speaker.

Additionally, Gurman mentions that Apple plans to reveal updated versions of the Apple TV set-top box and the HomePod mini on Tuesday. Earlier in the week, he indicated that the company intends to announce a collaboration with LG to produce a smart lock, a thermostat, and a doorbell.
