Trump Honors Big Tech Benefactors with Nation’s Prestigious Scientific Awards

During the Golden Age of American Innovation Summit on Thursday, President Trump presented the National Medal of Science, the country’s highest scientific honor, to notable figures including Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sergey Brin, and Lisa Su of AMD. Additionally, Michael Dell from Dell Technologies and Satya Nadella of Microsoft were recognized with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
According to reports, the recipients collectively contributed nearly $6 billion to initiatives related to Trump and his administration. For instance, both Alphabet and Microsoft made contributions to the inauguration fund and the White House ballroom. Furthermore, AMD supported a pro-Trump Super PAC, while Michael and Susan Dell committed $6.25 billion to assist in funding the Trump Accounts, a savings initiative aimed at children.
Trump remarked that the awardees have significantly contributed to shaping a remarkable future for America, asserting that their efforts ensure the nation remains unparalleled, stating, “We will always be on top. No one else can compete with us.”
Nadella accepted his award shortly after the administration announced the indefinite suspension of Microsoft from the H-1B program, which permits American companies to recruit skilled foreign professionals.
