Apple Allegedly Set to Revamp the Entry-Level MacBook Pro Aesthetics in the Coming Year

Next spring may bring an exciting array of new iPads, MacBooks, and iPhones.

Mark Gurman recently shared insights about Apple’s product updates in a report for Bloomberg. According to his sources, the tech giant plans to unveil a refreshed entry-level MacBook Pro in the first half of 2027. This new 14-inch model is expected to feature a design that mirrors the look of more premium devices likely to be launched in the upcoming fall. Additionally, Gurman hints at the introduction of Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook, which has been speculated to arrive with the M6 laptop series.

Besides the new baseline laptop, Apple is also believed to be experimenting with four new iPad Pro variants. While details remain scarce, it is suggested that these upcoming models will enhance performance while maintaining the existing 11-inch and 13-inch sizes.

Spring has become a season for Apple to reveal its entry-level and budget-friendly devices, sometimes introducing unexpected products. In the spring of 2026, for instance, the company launched the MacBook Neo along with new iPhones, iPads, and MacBook Pros over a week. Looking ahead, spring 2027 is poised to follow a similar trend of announcements. On the smartphone front, anticipation is building for the base model of the iPhone 18 and an upgraded iPhone Air. This could also mark a shift for Apple by moving straight to M7 silicon, skipping the usual Pro and Max models.
